  4.     EXECUTION STAYED. Of Robert Alton Harris, 37, sentenced to
  5. die in the gas chamber this week for the murders of two teenage
  6. boys in 1978; in San Francisco. Federal Appeals Court Judge
  7. John Noonan ruled that Harris may not have got competent
  8. psychiatric help during his trial. He would have been the first
  9. person to be put to death in California in 23 years.
